9/12 Discounts on 15" rMBP?

Folks, any thoughts on if there might be price reductions or discounts announced on 9/12 for the 15 inch Retina MBP? I've looked and haven't been able to spot anything about that...

Well, there already have been, at least at Best Buy. Those might have been just something BB did on their own, but I'd bet Apple has something in their sales contracts that says they own the pricing for their products, not the stores that sell them, so maybe that was done with Apple's blessing. I see that the wait times for these systems is "in stock" now, so maybe they've caught up with initial demand and want to do a promo to stimulate demand again, yadda yadda.

Anyway, I figured that if they were going to do something like offer a price break, 9/12 is a good time for that given the other announcements. Hope springs eternal, and all that.

Find someone someone who looks like a student, steal their wallet and run. $200 off right there if they had a student ID card.
