People always ask, Why SHOULD you care about other people using an iPhone, etc etc... I will give you one reason, and frankly this is the only reason you need...

More apps.

That's it. If the usage of the iPhone wasn't so high, nobody would be ever so inclined to make apps for your device. Take a look at how many Meego apps you can get. Even Blackberry.

Still don't care. It's not something that I think about.

Enjoy having no apps on your phone...

Maybe when it was released, this could be something to think about. However, today there are plenty of apps and they do near anything you can think of. Not sure why you would worry about this anymore.

I still don't care if others use an iPhone or not, regardless of the quantity of available apps. I use an iPhone because I like it; if my best friend prefers an Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone or "dumb" phone, it makes no difference to me. I say get what you like, not what others think you should get.

I barely use apps, even when I had an iphone, again you think youre situation goes for everyone but every customer is unqiue.

Btw, I doubt android has any less apps then iOS at this point.

.

True, but there is a quality difference due to the fragmentation... This I know for sure when I compare the same app on my iPhone and my GS3

I know tons of people who have iphones, but dont ever get on the app store, or itunes.

lots of people just want it because everyone else does.

Apps? I use about six apps. I talk, text and email. The few apps I use are for some news, weather and airline schedules. My total data usage per month is approximately 0.25gb. Not everyone is a power user.

that would be me too :)

Actually, it's more likely because app developers make more money developing for ios than android. I don't know if this means that android users pirate more or if it's something else, but I thought it odd since the android os is more ubiquitous than ios.

I'm sorry, but what the hell is going on in your avatar? Because if there's a app to block it I'll fully agree with anything you say.

It is me and my girlfriend.

Calm down. It's the OP kissing her child.

It is actually me and my dearest Cassie :)

I wonder what the number of "real" (i.e. professionally developed) apps there are that are iOS exclusives?

I'm guessing very, very few.
Billings Touch, Remote for iPhone, Pages, Numbers, etc.

I didn't mention Android for a reason. Android and iOS definitely are at the top in App usage.

Yea other phones can "try" to match the functionality of the iPhone, and even mock their elegant design...

BUT they will never EVER match the variety and power of the iOS App store.

HAHAHA feels so good having the number 1 device.

That will always trump you android lames, with your army of plastic devices.
