iMac running 10.6.8 with iTunes 10.6.3 and iPad3.
My hard drive in my iMac died. I last backed up six months ago, so when I restored the backup to my new hard drive, I'm now missing everything six months from today so I lost the most recent 6 months of iCal entries.
However, I DO have the missing 6 months of iCal entires on my iPad!
If I sync, what is going to happen? Will the iMac overwrite the iPad or vice versa, and how can I ensure that the iCal entries on my iPad will not get overwritten when syncing?
I also have the same question with regard to photos. I have a folder on my iMac and my iPad that shares/syncs photos. Well, because my hard drive died, I lost the last six months of photos in that folder, but they are preserved on my iPad. If I sync, will the iMac photo folder pull in what is preserved on my iPad, or will the iPad pull in what's on the iMac folder essentially erasing all my iPad photos?
