I have a 2011 quad core MBP that I'm still happy with.
What I've started to notice is that the fans on my Mac are coming on whenever I do anything other than browsing. If I use Capture One or an Adobe app or watch YouTube or a 720P vid, they come on and the machine gets a little hot. Is this normal? My machine wasn't doing this when I first bought it. I have 8gb of ram. The battery I'm sure is getting old but would that effect things? I'm thinking of taking it to Apple but it's been out of warranty for a while now...
