I'm planning to get a new Air in the next few days, but I just wanted to know what the available storage is on the 64 and 128 GB Airs, in other words how much space does the OS really take?

Thanks!

OSX took 15G out of my 128G, leaving 104. Haven't installed any extra app yet.

You'll be left with a little over 100 GB (~104 GB) after you get your 128 GB Macbook Air. I'm not 100% sure about the 64 GB SSD, but if possible, I'd get the 128 GB or larger.

For more information on the space available on a new Mac, there's a blurb in my guide to Macbook Air storage space.

I have a 256GB SSD in my Air and with Mountain Lion, CS6 Master Collection, iLife, Office, and all my other apps installed, I am sitting right at only 50GB used.

I have the 256. Installed MS Office and use exchange for work email. I have right now 224.8 gb available. No music but about 800 pics in iPhoto. Thats it.
