Unboxing of the iPhone 5 Black & Slate I received today

It really is a gorgeous phone when you see it in person. The leaked pics didn't do it justice.
 
Great video! I keep second guessing keeping my black iPhone but videos like yours show how beautiful black really is.

I'm surprised at the size of that box- to accommodate that tri prong charger no doubt. I'm guessing the US/Canada boxes will a tad bit smaller.

Very surprised to see that they've reverted to the large brick charger from the slimmer adapter they provided in previous generations.

Might have been a good idea to cover up the serial numbers etc :)
 
Awesome video! One of the best unboxings I've seen. So detailed and not too rushed, exactly how an iPhone should be unboxed. Thanks!

I hope someone does a video this good for the white version because that's the version I'm getting and I'd love to see it on video.

Grow up, this scuff crap is immature and very old. You remind me of the people who ran screaming when they slammed the iPhone with glass back as hard as they could to the ground and cried like a baby that the glass cracked. Didn't anyone sit through basic physics class?

So move on... None of the major reviewers cited the scuffing at all. Don't you find THAT odd?

why is it immature? its a concern on mine and more than likely millions of people come today...

if this thing scratches from coming in and out of your pocket over time people will have a problem with it.

Look if it scuffs that easily you'll hear about it. You won't have to ask.
 
Looks great. Can wait to get mine. The blacks so deeper on the 5 than on the 4 or was that just an illusion?

I hate to break it to you, but there is a scuff issue, and reviews WILL be mentioning it very shortly.

Thanks to a friend that manages a carrier store here in the lower Mainland, I was able to get a sneak peek at the new iPhone 5, in Black it just so happens. When we opened it up and were checking it out, I noticed a small scratch on the bottom edge of the phone. It was a very minor scratch, but it still showed the raw aluminum through. And that was with the phone Brand New, right out of the box.

I hate to say it, but I think Apple is going to have a problem on their hands with this.
