EFI ver 1 FOR rMBP won't update

I have latest ML installed and when running EFI update it reboots but continues to state update needed.

any help to force the update

Honestly, I'd be glad if it weren't updating. The new EFI version seems to have much more aggressive thermal throttling - pretty much limits you to 1.2GHz in any intensive scenario.
