Popping/Crackling noise

I have the latest mac book pro retina, and recently I have been having some issues with my sound card where I keep hearing popping noise continuously. If I restart the application a few times it seems to correct itself seems to have started after updating to 10.8.1. I am now on 10.8.2 and i am still continuing to get the problem.

Was wondering if anyone else is getting the same issue?

Popping/Crackling noise

I also noticed this. It happened recently after updating to 10.8.2 on my MacBook Pro (Early 2011). For me, it is more on the headphones, I haven't, or probably haven't noticed it yet in the built in speakers. Unplugging my headphones and plugging them back in fixes it for me but only for a while until it happens again (approximately 20 minutes or so).
