Not everyone has the money to always buy the latest and greatest...and that's not a bad thing
Anyway, I'm still using the 4 as well and it's become pretty speedy with iOS 6, faster than iOS 5 anyway. The 3G I had earlier was the worst phone I've ever had, terribly slow. So, good for you that you've finally upgraded
