Hi there mac experts,
Im a new mac user, just moved over from windows.

I've managed to change my icons by downloading somone from internet but only if they are Unix Executibles Files.

When I paste a jpeg, ico, icns files, the icon shows as blank.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but how do I create my own icons and what is the format which the latest Mountain Lion oSX 10.

Thanks for your help. The skydrive icon is really bugging me, wouldn't mind throwing in a nice 3d icon.

Thanks again for your help.

:)

There are also applications such as LiteIcon that will allow you to change the icons that cannot be changed with the traditional copy/paste method, such as the Finder and Trash.

EDIT: Guy above me beat me to it. =)
