Bought the otterbox defender but was really disappointed with it, and after removing the case it's clear to me how much better the experience is (especially with this particular iPhone) caseless. With Applecare+,$99 basically means I can go naked with the phone, and if 'life' happens, I'm out another 50 clams to get a brand new phone (which would probably then be cased haha). That versus a Lifeproof whenever it comes out for probably 70 bucks and deal with a much less sensitive touchscreen experience and in turn, a much worse experience overall.
There are no apple stores in my area, but believe that Best buy has an official apple area that sells all things apple including applecare+. I've also read that Best buy has it's own insurance independent of where the phone was purchased (I bought mine from Verizon).
Are there others that I have't mentioned? Scratches and scuffs I couldn't care less about, I just want to protect myself against if I drop it and the screen goes to hell, or it gets wet, etc. Right now the phone is still perfect condition, and I know I need to have it examined before I can buy whatever insurance so I'd like to go ahead and get it done...
Will probably go with some sort of full body protection like zagg by the way. Not LOOKING for problems...
Thanks for any advice
