macOS Automount home folder in dock

Hi,

When a student logs in I want to auto mount their AD home folder in the dock.

I used to be able to do this using Workgroup Manager in Snow Leopard. For some reason this does not work in ML 10.8.2. Their home folder is available using finder so it has mounted, it just does not appear in the dock.

I was hoping there would be a way to do this using applescript.
