Mail search (Spotlight?) never works. Always blank.

Most frustrating. I am unable to search any of my mail accounts in Mail app. I have tried enabling Spotlight via Terminal and everything.

I type a word, it gives me the ("message contains "___") option but no matter what I do results are always blank. Grr


Any ideas?
