iPhone 4S Notification Center not clearing unread emails when cleared from mail.app

If I used to delete an UNREAD email from the mail app, it would disappear from notification center.

Now it doesn't do that. If I delete unread emails, they stay in the notification center and when you click them, it just goes back to the main mail screen. Its a massive glitch.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
