I use MagicPrefs and the only real gestures I use are three finger click = Middle click and three finger swipe left/right = back/forward. This suddenly stopped working and when I go into the preferences panel I can't even see back/forward as an option to assign to any gesture.

I'm in the same boat. On top of that BetterTouchTools doesn't do anything with mavericks. Even the 'α' versions don't support it yet which surprises me as the release is only around the corner 
A lot has changed in the 'NSDistributedNotificationCenter' which I would imagine BTT and MagicPrefs relies on a lot.
It's only a matter of time until this gets resolved I remember similar issues with the release of Lion, ML and it appears Mavericks now too
