Hi All

I would like to share some simple skills that could make old macbooks running better

Currently I am using Macbook Pro late 2008 Unibody, it's a bit old but still a quiet productive machine

However, I found the machine started overheat sometimes which leads throttling, CPU and GPU will greatly underclock (CPU from 2.4Ghz to 1.4Ghz)

Also the keyboard backlit is getting much darker, I think it got only 50% of brightness to the original state, it may due to the machine heat greatly reduce the lifespan of LED

To fix up throttling issue, I use AUTOTOL to remove oxidization

Results are very good, the machine is running much cooler and doesn't throttling so much

To fix up backlit issue, I replace old leds for new one on the light sheet of the keyboard
For better results, a accurate temperature controlled soldering iron should be use, do not heat more than 260C
