Running BOINC on a MBP.. decreases cpu life because of heat?

So I know that running BOINC causes your CPU usage to spike because it's crunching data, hammering the CPU..

my concern is running this all day on a laptop.. would we see a significant decrease in life if it's run all day long for days/weeks/months on end?
