So does anyone else remember Noisy Typer, that silly little Mac app that makes your keyboard sound like a typewriter? Well I am using it right now (with headphones, fortunately) and I love it! It's just a shame that it is only compatible with Mountain Lion. I have tested it on Mavericks and it doesn't work. Probably something to do with the way Mavericks handles assistive devices differently. Anyway, it would mean a lot to me if I didn't have to stop using it when I upgraded.
I have contacted the developer, and got no response. It looks like a one-off free time project that only ever had a 1.0 release. But he did also release the source code! So how difficult would it be for one of us update the code to make it compatible with the Mavericks APIs and compile it? If I had to do it myself, how would I go about doing so? (I have next to no knowledge of programming, but I'll give it a shot)
Oh, and would it also be possible to change which keys make different sounds? I have wanted for a while to make the left/right arrow keys produce the same paper scrolling sound as the up/down arrows. How would one do that?
