so i updated to the new mp4tools and mkvtools , this update came out a long time ago, but i just did the update today

on the old mkvtools there was 3 options

mkv/edit tracks/edit files

the new update version does not have edit tracks

i want to remove an audio track from a video. so i want mkvtools to create a copy of the video but with the audio track removed

this option does not appear in the new mkvtools,in this new version the program does not create a copy , it only extracts the selected tracks separately with no extension

is there a way to do want i want using this new version ?

my old version before the update was

3.2.4 - 1/28/13

i never updated after that date until today, but now i see after that update

3.3.0 - 7/28/13
The Edit Tracks Tab has been removed. Most of it's functionality was redundant (Extract Tracks is now in the MP4 tab)
.

luckily i still had the old 3.2.4 in time machine

but if somebody can answer my question

It's not the most obvious thing, but in essence you have to think in terms of what tracks do you want to keep. So select only the tracks that you want and then pass them through. It's basically what the old "remove tracks" did. I hope that makes sense.

One of these days I'll get around to putting together a good guide on the emmgunn website, but there just doesn't seem to be time for all of the stuff that needs to get done :(.

In the new version , if I only select the video track , the convert button is grayed out, it won't be clickable until I select both audio & video tracks
