I was doing some research on monitors and I came across an interesting feature on LG monitors called split screen. LG is releasing a 34" Ultra-Wide QHD 21:9 Thunderbolt monitor, as well as a 31" Ultra HD 4k/2k 16:10 Thunderbolt monitor this year which will both offer this feature. It allows the user to arrange the display into up to 4 sections in order to create a multitasking environment. In theory, this feature will allow a user to turn a 4k display into 4 individual 1080p displays, which would allow some users to forego their multi-monitor setup and use one display and still be able to multitask.
This feature apparently has been available for the past year or so on LG's upper end IPS monitors. I haven't come across anyone who has used this feature in OS X. Is there anyone out there who has used this feature on a Mac? How did it work? Was it buggy? What did you like/not like about it?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
