So I have a 5s and I've noticed that little or no sound comes out of the left speaker. I almost never run music through the speakers and assumed that no sound was coming out when the phone rang because I had mono ring and text tones. If I cover the right speaker with my finger I get almost nothing, and what I do could just be leakage from the right speaker. I can't find a balance function anywhere in Settings. Is this normal? Does anybody else experience the same issue?

Ah. I didn't know that. Thanks very much. Would have been embarrassing to be told that when I returned it as faulty :)

it's a common problem/question that's asked around here every time there's a new iphone launch. i'm sure apple geniuses see it all the time. i also think this is why the iphone 5c has a single hole on the left side next to the headphone jack instead of a grill.
