I have a MacBook running Mavericks osx.
I use cdock to customize the dock -- it works like a charm, until the few things I've done yesterday.
- changed the administrator account's home directory name
- used the Terminal command to restart the dock launchctl stop com.apple.Dock.agent -- i think this might be the source of the problem somehow?
- tried running this Terminal command to make the dock translucent defaults write com.apple.dock hide-mirror -bool true;killall Dock -- it has failed to customize the dock in any way
- tried uninstalling + reinstalling cdock -- still doesn't work
Could any of these have been the issue? I'm not really fond of the 3d dock, so it would be nice to be able to use a 2d one again!
If I make a new account, cdock + defaults write com.apple.dock hide-mirror -bool true;killall Dock will work.
Maybe my account can't write to /Library anymore?
Any suggestions are welcome!
