Can a non retina MBPr fan be replaced with a retina fan

I have a 13" mid 2012 macbook pro non retina and i would like to change its fan.

Will a retina fan work? and is it better in terms of cooling than the regular non retina one? And also can I replace the back cover with a retina one?

No.
Both are different sizes plus the bottom cover has a slightly updated design for a better cooling sistem.
