CMD+TAB not working -> multi monitors?

I have a 3 monitor setup:

When pressing CMD+TAB keys all opened apps appear in a bar in monitor 2, beneath main monitor 1. Clicking the TAB I can scroll all opened apps and when I release the CMD key only the menu bar changes to the selected app on my main monitor. The selected app won't re-open windowed or full screen. Strange behaviour or user error?
