Dear friends.
I've been checking the "reviewing Garageband for Ipad" video tutorials. I saw some random demo videos, and Ican't find answers for some specific things I need to do with this app, or at least stop insisting if there is no way to do what I need.
I totally understand that this app is not a professional, not even an advanced DAW, but it'd be great if is possible to do the following:
-One of the most important things I need is to record something (let's say a trance style bass line) and then being able to perform changes on this track using knobs such as "cutoff", "ressonance", etc.
I think there's no way to do it, but if you have a way, it'll be awesome.
The same thing applies to volume control of a track, changing it throughout its lenght... Balance, etc.
-I use this app connecting a midi keyboard (misiplus origin 61), using the camera connection kit.
Triggering sounds is fine, but is there any way to make use of the properties of the instruments when are played directly on the on-screen keyboard?
Functions such as "tone", or "arpeggiator" don't work when using an external keyboard.
And of course, is there any way to assign filters such as the mentioned cutoff or ressonance to my external keyboard assignable knobs?
-I have a lot of songs composed in Garageband for Ipad, and would like to know how to export the files with all it's tracks and controls (arpeggiators, etc.) in midi format to import them into my DAW (Nuendo, Reason). I know that by doing this I'm gonna hace to replace the vsts for each track. Another option would be to record track by track playing it from the Ipad and recording them as audio directly in Nuendo, track by track...
I know, as I said, this is a limited app that works great up to a certain đemand. The thing is that I'm using it a lot and needing more complex functions, so, if there is no way to obtain this functions, I should stop investing time on working on this app and use it as a very simple sketch pad for my ideas, but when it comes to produce a little more advanced sketch of a song, start using my pc based home studio.
I'm sorry for asking so much, but i've been looking for these answers a lot on the web and couldn't find anything that helps me.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Best regards,
Adrian Delgado.
