Preventing Spotlight re-indexing usb

Hi all.

I have added 2 usb dries (volumes) to Piracy tab of Spotlight preferences, temporary because i used Spotlight and wanted to exclude these.

After I removed them Spotlight began re-indexing...

Trouble is, these hard drives are 1TB and 2TB respectively ...and Spotlight said "11 hours" when re-indexing these two, which i would also assume you can't do write anything do the drives, since it would interrupt indexing and restart.

So, must i leave these drives permanently in Privacy list?

Seems there should really be an option to re-index, and should not be forced...

It quickly came down to a mere 46 minutes there about..

However the last 4 minutes were the longest i even know that time go for...

It just won't complete... but finally after like 20 odd minutes it did...
