My Imac g5 20" screen is somewhat dim even when the brightness is set to 100%.I would say its at around 50%.The question is what is causing the dimness that I am experiencing? lcd or inverter or something else?This dimness is equal throughout the display! Hopefully someone out their has dealt with this issue and can tell me what part is failing here. Thks paun.................

If I'm correct a backlight can be replaced without buying a whole new LCD screen, since the backlights are generally on the sides of the screen. Correct me if I am wrong, please.
