Just dropped my <2mo 15" MBP, and the screen is borked... It also bent the clamshell corner when it fell. Everything else seems to be fine; the lid seemed to have absorbed the fall. Can't see any other dents or scratches anywhere else on the laptop.
I'm looking at a complete lid replacement, and I'm having a helluva time finding a good source for genuine mac parts. From what I can gather, replacing the entire lid assembly isn't too bad; far easier than replacing the glass and/or display.
Can anyone recommend a good, reliable site to order from?
Pretty sure the part# is 661-8310, but, doesn't seem to be a whole lot of sites carrying that particular one...
And if anyone can give me some info as to how to tell if I have the LG or Samsung display, I'd be extremely grateful.
