Maximizing Leopard performance

So on my iBook G4, which I have upgraded to Leopard from Tiger until I have the time to fix up my PB, Leopard performance is adequate, but I would like to speed it up as much as possible. I know I can make the dock 2D, disable transparency, spotlight, and dashboard, but can anyone give me a guide on how to kill the shadows around the windows, to free up the graphics card? My iBook only has a 32 MB Graphics chip, so it would be helpful. Thanks!

I am not sure about the shadow, but I highly recommend disabling BeamSync.

^^^Yep, this.

I have it load as a startup item on all my Macs and the Mac Pro at work. The only downside is it takes a little time to adjust to the fact that windows run into each other when you overlap them.

Eventually though it's no big deal.
