I've been having some trouble with external drives. Seems to have been cured by getting a powered Firewire 800 hub for them. But one of them now has the green time machine icon. It's not the drive selected as the time machine drive, which is there and mounted properly and working.

Anyone know how to correct this weird glitch? I ran Disk Utility, and ran Disk Warrior and had it rebuild the directory, and both of those show the drive to be fine. Not sure what to try aside from erasing it and reformatting etc. Which would be a pain in the rear, it's a drive i use for streaming audio samples, so it would be copying almost a terabyte of stuff and then copying it back on to it.

1) Click any disk with the icon you want, press "CMD + I"

2) click that ext disk and press "CMD + I"

3) drag the icon (at the top left corner in the info windows) from "1" to "2"

Another method you can use:
If that Time Machine icon is set as a "Custom Icon" for the drive, Get Info on the drive, click the icon to select it, and hit the delete key - this works for ANYTHING with a custom icon.
