So, I have a 2nd (optical bay) drive in my Mac for file storage.
I just yesterday replaced my 1TB with a 2TB, but when I transferred all of my files to the 2TB drive, 6gb was missing.
My 1TB drive says 645gb used
My 2TB with all files transferred to it says 639gb used.
Let me make clear that this is NOT a boot drive; this is purely a Mac OSX Journal partition in which only files are stored. (i.e: no recovery partition, no system files)
I used a program named Super Duper to transfer the entirety of my drive over. I thought maybe it was a problem with the program so I tried doing a manual transfer and the same thing happens.
Why does it show up as taking up 6gb less on my new drive?
Just want to clear this situation out before I restore the original drive.
