iPad Is a US LTE iPad Air compatible with EU LTE networks

Short and honest: I'll be in the US for work soon, and am thinking about buying a US iPad Air to bring home. I live in Europe, and at home Apple products are a good deal more expensive.

Are US LTE iPad Airs different from EU models in terms of hardware, frequency bands, radio chips .. anything except the power plug? Is there an official ( :apple: ) source where I can see the exact hardware differences between US and EU models?

I'm obviously concerned whether the US model will work with my EU 4G/LTE carrier. :)
 
There's only one iPad Air LTE model. The only difference between US and European "models" is the power plug that comes in the package.

Apparently, there are two models now. No idea which one is sold in Europe nor what bands are actually used there.

iPad Air A1475 / iPad mini with Retina A1490
Bands: 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,13,17,18,19,20,25,26

iPad Air A1476 / iPad mini with Retina A1491
Bands: 1,2,3,5,7,8,18,19,20,38,39,40

Oh, right. I think the second one is for China, and US and Europe share the same model.
 
You should check the frequencies your provider at home uses. Look at your local Apple Online Store which version they are selling.
 
Both iPad models can be used in Europe, as you can easily see when you look at the supported countries.
