Since upgrading to 8GB of Corsair RAM, my MacBook Pro occasionally crashes. Has anyone seen a crash like this? It's pretty nasty; the speakers get all fuzzy and the whole system goes down. It restarts completely normally.

I'm wondering if either of the sticks are damaged (both memtest and AHT report no errors) or if they just aren't seated correctly.

Naturally, out of AppleCare.

Have you tried simply placing the old RAM back in and seeing if the problem replicates? The upgraded RAM may be compatible enough to boot, work, etc. but may not be 100% compatible (thus your issues).

The other possibility is that the RAM is just plain bad. Either way I'd consider trying to return it and making sure you get some that's 100% compatible.
