MSI Laptop to Apple Cinema Display Help

Hi,

I just picked up a Kanex XD to have my laptop run on my cinema display. I'm having troubles getting the monitor to display anything. I see it's connected I've adjusted resolutions down to 720p but still black screen, though audio is coming out of it. Has anyone ran into this issue? I tested a xbox to see if it would work and it did after I set the source to 720p, but what do I do for my laptop any suggestions here?

I can't seem to figure out why my hdmi isn't outputting 720p that's the only thing I can think of.

The issue is that the mini display can only pick up 720p when I convert the signal. Even when I try to swap screens it just stays black due to the signal for some reason not being 720 I believe. I've changed all the settings, but I have a feeling I'm missing something.

Anyone know?
