I dunno if this is the right place to post this, so I apologize if it's not.
I have a Windows Server 2008 virtualization that runs on VirtualBox. On my Mac Mini (late 2012), quad-core i7 2.6 GHz and 16 gig of RAM, configured with one core and 4 gig, it runs pretty nicely.
If I move the virtual disk file over to my just-purchased late 2013 rMBP13, which is the dual core i5 2.6 GHz and 16 gig of RAM, configured the same way (one core, 4 gig of RAM), it CRAWLS. The rMBP has the 512 gig SSD and the VirtualBox instance on the Mini is running off of a regular USB 3 hard drive (but has an internal Samsung 840 Pro SSD).
Any idea what this is happening? Is there a configuration change I can make in VBox to fix this?
Thanks.
Rob
