iPod touch Ipod touch skips songs

I've search the forums for this issue and I haven't found it anywhere. I've got all my music on my ipod touch. I've got my playlists set on shuffle. Sometimes when I skip through the songs it'll only play a couple of seconds and then skip to the next song; if I try to go back to listen to that song it does the same thing only play a couple of seconds and then go to the next song. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

I had the same issue on my iPhone but I fixed it by reloading my songs from my computer. I think this happens if one of the files to control the music gets corrupt.
 
Check in iTunes that you haven't accidentally set a Stop Time for the song(s).
