Carrier iPad Air - how can I tell if it is unlocked?

Only iPhones are "locked" per se. I don't think iPad is locked. Buy one from your carrier and away you go. It's only that some networks don't work with others so you make have to get the right one.

You should be able to tell in the carrier settings. You can also check the SIM card.
As the previous poster said, iPads are unlocked.
