I have used my "MagSafe to MagSafe 2 Converter" for about 6 months, and it stops working recently.

By checking the product review in the official Apple Store Website, many people complain about the poor design of this product. (quote: http://store.apple.com/us/reviews/MD504ZM/A/magsafe-to-magsafe-2-converter?page=0&rs=newest )

I want to have 2 adapters in 2 places, so I'm wondering whether I should buy a new Converter or just buy a new MagSafe 2 Adapter.

The thing is ... the new converter may still fail after a few months (some people even claim that their converter fails after 2 weeks). So I am wondering if this is an issue globally happening or just to some small amount of people.

Please share your experience:
- how long does your converter last (or when did you buy the converter)?
- how long do you use your laptop per day (average hour roughly)?

Thank you very much.

If you've only had it for six months why wouldn't you just get it replaced under warranty?
