A lot of posted pricing rumors.. but here's what I think, they will discontinue the 16gb, offer $100 premium for the 5.5 and only 5.5 gets 128gb.

iPhone 6 pricing tier with subsidy (add $450 for out the box):

4.7 32gb= $199, $649
4.7 64gb= $299, $749

5.5 32gb= $299, $749
5.5 64gb= $399, $849
5.5 128gb= $499, $949

There u have it.. it all makes sense.

That's how we all wished it would go but the 16gb is here to stay for now. Apple has no reason at this point to reduce the price of the iPhone. It's not like they have trouble selling them. Makes absolutely no sense for apple to do that.

huh? it makes absolute sense... they will sell the 16gb in the 5s. besides, you're getting a bump in storage for the same price, $199 for 32 instead of 16. I think that's a good deal, don't you think?

I really hope thats how Apple prices the new iPhone. Maybe they will keep the 16gb 5s as their entry level phone.

exactly. it makes sense.

Just more rumors!

With more and more people walking off of subsidized plans, it might actually make sense for apple to throw a little extra value in to better compete with cheaper android devices.

It'd be nice if 32GB became the lowest tier. 16GB doesn't get you far nowadays. But ever since I've been using iTunes Match and iTunes Radio, I haven't felt the need for more storage even though I am using 16GB model. It'd still be nice to have more storage for more photos and movies, etc. Apple should really lower the cost of high capacity models. Charging $100 for storage is just too damn much. :(

I foresee the new iPhone having a 16gb option. The cheap option currently is the 4S at 8gb. When the 4S was released it's smallest size was 16gb. So Apple went out of their way to make a smaller option.

The 32mb should have been the base model 3 years ago.

If they go to a 32mb base model, I wouldn't be surprised to see them charge $249.

It'll also be interesting to see the impact of Next on pricing. For those who switched on fmail plans, the difference in payments is going to be a few dollars each month. I think Apple knows a price increase that 'a few bucks per month' isn't as noticeable.

NO, 199 32gb 4.7.... now if u mean $249 32gb 5.5, I doubt it, more like $299 but i'll the former.

It make sense to us consumers yes but not to apple.

The 16GB is an entry level iPhone! It is used to price the memory for the step up pricing! Plus, it is the model that carrier's love to do two year contracts on since it is the lowest cost possible iPhone! I even heard a while back a sales guy trying to talk a lady from buying a 32GB model because he felt the lady should have so much memory! LOL!

And you know 16GB is staying... how? Do you work for Apple?

I think this definitely happens - priced at $99 / $549 ideally. I think they'd sell a ton of them at that price.

The OP's pricing table is absolutely wishful thinking and I don't see the 16gb going away this time around.....but it would be AWESOME.

gut feeling I'm right..

Are you wanting us to thank you or give you a gold star for a guess on pricing? We will know soon enough and you will not be the last guessing about prices till September.

For that gut feeling, take a couple of Tums.

Because he or she is having a "gut feeling"!

Well let's wait and see I feel I'm gonna blow people's minds

Because I don't expect apple to drop the price of the iPhone.

iPhone started 4GB.
then 8GB
then 16GB.

It's been 16GB since 2010, they got stuck for some reason. Well, for one, it's been largely sufficient for the majority of their customer base.

It's not atypical for them to increase the base storage. They've done it twice before.
