The bookmarks + button in Safari defaults to adding the page viewed to the Reading List. If one clicks and holds it a menu of bookmarks comes up and one can select where to store the bookmark.
BUT, I can't get this to work well with my Macbook's trackpad which is set to tap. If I want to add a bookmark I need to click (not just tap) the button to bring up the menu. But clicking the trackpad means I can't scroll down the menu more than just a bit. As soon as I release pressure on the trackpad a bookmark is created, never where I want it.
I am aware of CMD-D but I prefer using the trackpad. Is there a way around it? For instance, it would be great if double-tapping the + would bring up the menu but that doesn't work at all.
