The last 'plastic' Apple product I had was a white MacBook, which eventually chipped and faded and went off color so to speak.

Does the iPhone 5C hold up to wear and tear over time? Have there been reports of quality issues at all?

Just asking, may be upgrading soon. The 5S is out of my price range and who knows when the 6 will reach New Zealand.

There is nothing wrong with the 5c, but at this point I'd wait for the 6. I mean, the 5s was available there a month after the official release.

I've heard of 5c lovers abandoning the 5c because of fading and scratching (plastic can scratch). So, while nothing may be wrong with the 5c as T5BRICK says, it's not immune to aging.
