Hey guys, already used my $150 off coupon, but returned the MBA. Didn't know the coupon was one use only. If anyone has another that they aren't using (they expire the 12th), it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

May I ask why you initially returned the MBA and what laptop you are looking at getting this time?

Apple is running a special with a 100 dollar gift card and if you use the edu discount there its another 50 so you end up getting about the same discount but you can customize a non base model.

I've heard if you're moving (and who isn't moving, really), you can get a 10% off coupon from the post office new movers kit that combines with the edu coupon.

Not all post offices have the best buy coupon, and not all stores will allow you to stack.
Still doesn't hurt to try, and you can also buy one on ebay for around $2.

I have a $150 off coupon.

I am going to see if i can pair it with a 10% or use it on an open box rMBP 2.4 8gb 256. If they dont let me (all recent users have said they have been unable so i think they've changed it) I'm going to get an air 1.4ghz 8gb 256 on apple.com with the 100 dollar gift card.

If it doesn't work at the store tomorrow i'll pm it to someone.

I was able to stack both on an open box 13"/2.4/8/256 for my son.

When did you buy it?

Did they say anything when you used both?

Which one did they scan first? I am about to go try

2.4 means it was a pro
so
1425 - 150 = 1275

1275 - 127 = 1148.00 + tax (about 75) = 1225.00. Pretty solid deal.

i'll report back after i try my first bestbuy

Yep, 13.3" MBPr.

I used it on an open box, which was $1338.

Wound up being about $1150 with tax. Terrific!

After seeing that, my better half wanted an Air (originally), and we were able to use the same two discount types (different edu code, obviously) on a new MBPr. BB also price matched Microcenter, so it wound up being about $1200 with tax. The only challenge now is keeping track of my son's vs. my better half's - he fixed that by putting an easy-off sticker on his.

Went to best buy today 7/12/2014.

Bought a rmbp 2.4 ghz 8gb 256 gb for $1216 after taxes.

At first the barcode wasn't loading on my phone for the $150 education but once it did it went through fine then I said I also have this 10% off movers which she took it as if to just try to scan it and it went through fine as well. Pretty solid.

I opted not to get the year or two year accident policy but apparently I have 14 days to still sign up. It's pretty expensive. I know a lot of people recommend it cause they will totally fix or replace ur laptop if you have an "accident". I think it's kind of scammey on their part due to the high cost and then a lot of people who get it break their laptops on purpose towards the end of the policy to get a brand new one. So you are pretty much subsidizing that behavior or you would need to do it urself to get the benefit.
Now it's time to buy a case/cover for it.

I'd just get ac on it. B&h photo sells them cheaper than apple

AC is accident coverage?

What does it cover and how much is it?

Can I buy it from b&h if I bought from best buy? Do I needa photo buy it before I open it?

AppleCare, Its about 244 from B&H. Or if you have a .edu address you can get it straight from apple for a few bucks more from their education store.

From what I read on bh it's 2 year extension. So that means I have a 1 year factory warranty and I can buy that extension at any time in there?

Anyone have a $150 off Best Buy coupon?

It's AppleCare. It adds another 2 years to the original warranty. So 3 years total. You have 1 year from purchase date to add AppleCare for macs

----------

The 13 Mbp cost is 174 on b&h photo. 244 for 15 and 17 inch mbp. Apple sells theirs for 249 and 349. Significant savings
