I googled this, and could not a clear answer, if I connect my ipod via an aux jack, tape adapter or USB to a car stereo or aux enable boombox will they be able to play the aac music off my ipod?

I read it is ok as long as the ipod itself is doing the decoding of the files.

I would be connecting ipod to an older car deck with a cassette deck via a cassette adapter.

You can plug anything into a cassette adapter. Macbook, 3DS, etc.

Some car radios refuse to let an adapter run in them(*'99 Cadillac cough*) and that really sucks when you went on a 10 hour trip and only brought 5 CDs because you thought you'd plug in the ipod after they were through. Thank god my truck works fine with it.

Test before you go on a long trip lol
