I have had my phone for about a month now and the home button as of late feels like it is hard to press down. It feels like it is stuck and I have to press hard to get it to work. Anyone else have similar issues? Any tips / solutions? I don't want to bring it to Apple yet but may if it continues...

Jusr take it to Apple if it continues the rest of the week...they'll know what's best, so that's your best bet.

You're still covered under the warranty so you should be good.

Will the same thing happen on the next one?
Possibly, but since it's already happening to this one it's better to get another one that doesn't have this issue (even if there's still a chance that it might develop this or any other issue down the road).

Probably not. I haven't heard of this issue before.
Maybe it isn't even an issue.

It's probably just a defect and I doubt that you'll have 2 iphones in a row that have a defective home button.

If it does happen again, your apple store probably isn't going anywhere. You won't know if you don't try.

Best of luck!

I went to Apple and they basically told me to suck it up and it's a relatively small issue. The phone is functional and it really isn't that much of a problem. I'm slightly frustrated at this point.
Any other suggestions on how to deal with it?

Call apple care. Tell them it's not working well. Be persistent. Pay the $29 shipping. Send back old phone. Done.

Excellent advice from Jalopybox. The only alternative is to ask to speak to a/the Apple Store manager as this is unacceptable for a new Apple item. What is there to lose?

I've been doing that every night for seven months, alcohol does not cause an issue if used in an appropriate amount...at least in my phone.

But how gunked up does your home button get that you need to do this on a regular basis?
