K so I have the ipad mini retina and found out they will bring out update IOS 8. So am I supposed to keep IOS 7 on my mini retina? If I update my ipad to IOS 8 will it be slow and have problems on it since it was not made for the iPad mini retina? I hear if you don't have the new ipad that the IOS was made for that it won't work on the last generations of iPads.

If you're asking these questions, you probably shouldn't update until it's publicly available.

But yes, your iPad will support iOS 8 when it launches in September.

If you can install it, it will work. It won't appear as an update if your device doesn't support it. The iPad Mini Retina has Apple's newest chip in it, it will work perfectly fine.
