I recently bought a Tritton 720+ headset! - but I have a problem with it. When i connect it to my MacBook Pro i only get mono sound. I can tell its mono because when I make left/right tests on it, it's completely the same. In the sound & MIDI options on my mac its set to be multiple channels but still stereo. When I try to change to 7.1 surround it will not let me.
When I had my SteelSeries elite headset I could set it to 7.1 Surround sound.
I have only connected the headset to the box and the box is connected with my MacBook by a USB cable which was following.
I was wondering if a TOSLINK (Optical to 3.5 mm jack) would do the trick to make it surround? - Or should i get my money back and buy a new one?
