i'm trying to copy + paste a large folder from my Macintosh HD to my 1TB Lacie External hard drive, and i keep getting the error message that it can't be done because there's 'not enough space'.. however, when pulling up the "Get Info" on each item, it shows that there is still 295.31gb available space on the external drive, and the folder i wish to copy is 158.18gb.. so there should be plenty of space..
i tried emptying the trash.. i went into disk utility, did repair disk and repair disk permissions on everything, restarted my computer, and i'm still getting the error message that there's not enough space available.. what gives?
