Is it just me or does it take an age to charge? I've tried charging in aeroplane mode etc. This thing was on 13% and I've sling it on charge 40 mins ago and it's still only on 21%!

Bugger. I'm camping and wanted to read books on it. Guess I'll have to make do with the iPhone :)

You need the proper charger to get it charged properly. I'm just back from camping and my 12v USB charger only managed 30% overnight.

I'm not sure on the numbers but standard USB charges at 500ma which is what your iPhone ac adapter outputs. Where as the iPad adapter is something like 2.1 amps

Good thought and maybe that's it?

I'm using an iPhone ( charger though and I thought they were the same. Hmmm.

Since I posted it's now at 31% so I guess this may be the issue!?!?!?

The cord does not matter. He's reffering to the charging block. The one for iPhones is 5 watts and the iPad chargers are 10 or 12 watts.

You say you are camping, what do you have the device plugged into?
