Any way to permanently save voicemails?

Hi all:

My grandmother passed a few months ago and my mom has a few voicemails on her iPhone 5 from her that she desperately wants to keep. They are visual voicemails and we have Verizon. She's been having problems with her phone as of late and will most likely be upgrading within the next few weeks so does anyone know of any software that would be able to pull the voicemails and keep them safe? Hoping to hear from someone who successfully did this as I wouldn't want to mess anything up and lose those voicemails.

I know you can do it if you're jailbroken. I was just looking at my collection of voicemails on my iPhone last night.

They're located in var/mobile/Library/Voicemail.
 
Two Options!

You actually don't need to jailbreak.

Here are two options:

1) FREE option - third-party software

there is a free third-party program available that extracts your voicemails from an iTunes backup of your phone. I've used this myself and it works great. There is a pay version, but free version will work for you.

2) non-FREE option - use a service

there is a nifty website called http://www.savemyvm.com that specializes in converting voicemail to MP3. It's fast, and they do everything for you.

Good Luck getting your messages saved!

Wasn't aware of those options. Thanks for the info.
 
Subscribing to this for future reference. I've thought about doing the same with messages from my kids.
