Help! Buying iphone 6 on launch

Here's my situation:

• Employee of a carrier
• Apple Store cannot access my account
• cannot have iphone 6 on employee account until demand is met

Can I camp out on launch day and get an unlocked VZW iPhone 6 full retail. Will Apple sell it to me if I don't have an account for them to attach it to? Like can I just walk in and hand them $650 and not put the phone on any account!
 
I have done this in the past. Went to my local Apple store and paid full price for a phone and explained it was a gift and they said no problem and sold me the phone. But I need to add I upgraded my phone at the time also so maybe that played some part in their decision to sell me the other phone outright
